Alumni and giving
One record from student to alum to donor.
The student you welcomed at orientation is the alum you invite to homecoming and the donor you thank. Keep them on one record, so no one slips through after graduation.

Why it matters
Fewer alumni are taking part.
Engagement and giving are drifting apart. The colleges that keep in touch from the first week have more to build on.
16.3%
The median share of contactable alumni who are engaged, in the US and Canada.
And it is declining.
Fewer donors, more dollars.
The number of alumni donors is falling while the dollars they give rise.
More of the giving rests on fewer people.

One record
Alumni relations starts from the first week.
Most colleges meet a graduate again in a different system from the one that knew them as a student. On Socio Connect it is the same person, with the same history.
1
Student
Orientation events, clubs and groups, chapel run as a check-in session, and a mentor a few steps ahead. Every RSVP and check-in lands on one record.
2
Graduate
The same record stays. They confirm they are alumni, join the directory and find their city chapter. Nobody starts over in a new system.
3
Alum and donor
Reunions, mentoring the next class, and a first gift. Your team sees the whole relationship, from the first week on campus to the latest gift.
What’s included
Everything alumni relations runs.
Each item says how far along it is today.
Alumni directory
A searchable directory and profiles, so graduates can find each other and the classmates they lost touch with.
Chapters and class groups
A space for each city chapter, class or affinity group, with its own posts, events and leaders.
Mentoring the next class
Alumni apply to mentor, you pair them with students, and both check in along a set of steps. Pairs that go quiet get a nudge.
Events and reunions
Homecoming, reunions and chapter nights with RSVPs, tickets and check-in at the door.
Giving and recurring gifts
One-time and recurring gifts go straight to the college’s own Stripe account. We never add a platform fee. Stripe charges its usual card fee.
Giving days and campaigns
A page for each campaign or giving day with its goal, story and progress. Today your team updates the total. Connecting campaign totals to gifts is being built.
Alumni verification
Graduates submit their details and an admin approves them, so the alumni network stays alumni.
The Assistant
Each week, who needs your team and why: alumni gone quiet, first gifts to thank, regular givers who stopped. A note is drafted for your team to edit and send.
The real product
What alumni see, and what your team sends.
Write once to everyone going to homecoming, one chapter or one class. Messages go by email, in the app and by text.
