We kept meeting the same kind of organization. A church, a nonprofit, an association or an alumni network doing real work, with people who show up for it. And behind it, a stack of tools that didn’t talk to each other.
The tools didn’t share a person
Attendance lived in one place, giving in another, groups and events and sign-ups somewhere else. Every tool kept its own list of people, and none of them agreed.
So the people who cared most couldn’t see who needed them. Who had stopped showing up. Who was drifting. Who was ready to do more. Nobody lacked care. Nobody could see.
Staff spent their week copying names between systems instead of calling the people behind them. And every tool sent its own invoice. We added one church’s up in you’re paying for nine platforms.
One platform, one record per person
So we built one platform to run the whole organization: people and households, groups, giving, events and ticketing, check-in with kids safety, volunteers and worship planning, courses, messages and a public website. Every visit, gift, group and sign-up lands on one record per person.
With one record, the questions that used to take a spreadsheet and an afternoon have an answer. Who visited twice and hasn’t joined a group? Which regular giver stopped? Which team is short next month? Here is what changes when every tool shares one person.
A follow-up list, with a person deciding
Seeing everyone is only useful if someone acts on it. The Assistant, built into the platform, gives your staff a short list each week of who needs a follow-up, with the reason for each name and a drafted message. Your team decides what gets sent. Nothing goes out on its own. We wrote about what belongs on that list.
No cut of your giving
Some platforms take a share of gifts, dues or tickets on top of the card fee. We don’t. Money goes straight to your organization’s own Stripe account. Stripe’s card fee applies, and donors can choose to cover it. We charge a plan price and nothing on the money your people give.
Yours to take with you
You keep ownership of what you add, and you can export it any time. We don’t sell personal information or use it for advertising. If you leave, we delete your data on request. The details are on our trust page.
Where custom fits
Before the platform, we built community platforms for organizations one at a time. We still do. When an organization needs something no plan does, like its own app or a program nobody else runs, we build it as a custom build. For everyone else, the platform is the place to start.
Plans start free, and the Community plan, with giving, check-in, volunteers and the Assistant, is $299 a month. Socio Connect is in an invite-only beta: join the beta and we'll send your invite as spots open. See plans and pricing, or read more about us.
